<div itemprop="description">Adrian Strotmann <br>December 10, 1941 – April 29, 2020 <br> <br>Passed away at home after a long battle with COPD and pulmonary fibrosis. <br> <br>Born in Rotterdam, son of Lucas Strotmann and Marijke Wiersma, the family arrived in Ville St. Laurent in 1952, before settling permanently in the City of Pointe-Claire. <br> <br>Adrian formed a partnership with his late brother John and they established two successful restaurants, La Place Hollandaise and Le Vieux Amsterdam, before entering into a final venture with S&S Conversions Inc. <br> <br>Loving and devoted father, father-in-law and step-father to Kerri-Lynn, Ryan, Claire and Lina (mourned by Sharon, the mother of his children), he will be deeply missed as the world’s greatest Opa to grandsons Andrew Lucas and Matthew Ian. Adored little brother of Joan/Joke (late Gerry) and late brothers John/Tjomme and Theo/Theodorus (late Linda), as well as wonderful brother-in-law to Diane. Best Uncle/Oom Aad to his nieces and nephews who treasured him, and vital family link to all the beloved cousins in Holland who will sorely miss him. Adrian’s life was dedicated to his family and they remain his most valuable legacy. <br> <br>His family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Corman, Dr. Levesque, and Dr. Troyanov of Hôpital Sacre-Coeur and his homecare team, nurse Karine and respiratory therapist Marie-Michelle for their exceptional care throughout the progression of his illness. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Fondation de l’Hôpital Sacre-Coeur. A celebration of Adrian’s life will be held at a later date for friends and family. <br> <br>“Je bent niet meer daar waar je was, maar overal waar wij zijn” <br>“You are no longer where you used to be, but everywhere we are.” <br></div>
