It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our "Superhero", Alain "Butch" Boucher on Monday, January 25, 2021. He was born March 27, 1953 in Shawinigan.

Alain was a retired police officer who served 30 years and was a member of the Canadian Army. His battle against cancer was fought with strength, determination and with a courage never seen of any man.

Beloved husband and best friend to Maureen (Findlay). Adored father of Andrea (Kevin) and Sarah (Rick). Cherished stepfather to Ashley (Ben) and Robyn. Papa to Evelyn, Dylan and Sam. Brother of Gerry and Donald Boucher.

So deeply loved by his family, Alain was the kindest of souls who wanted nothing more than to help those around him. And so, he did, selflessly and asking for nothing in return.

Those who knew him, know he was the hardest working of men. Working to provide for his family above all else.

A natural athlete, with a passion for golf, he wasn't without a sense of humor, always making those around him laugh. Famous for his funny notes and Dad jokes. It is without doubt that he is looking down on us now, smiling as only a free man can, and performing his infamous finger trick.

A lover of time, Alain was known for his collection of watches and his need for being excessively early. In fact, it wouldn't surprise us if he wanted to get to heaven a little earlier than he needed to.

And so, we say, dear "Batman", thank you for choosing us to be a part of your journey.

Forevermore, the only true "Big Guy" in our lives. You will never leave us, nor we you.

We'll say bye-bye for now and will carry with us your last words of wisdom: We will improvise. We will not live in the past but rather for today. And yes, we will learn to golf.

"Thank you for taking care of me and for loving me for 25 years. We had so many wonderful, special memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I will miss you forever and always, love Mo."

Due to circumstances in regards to the pandemic, a celebration of his life will be held a later date.
