<div itemprop="description">It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Albina DeRose (Barone), beloved wife of the late Giovanni Barone. Albina passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, at the age of 81. <br> <br>She will be profoundly missed by her devoted children: Rosa Maria (Bill), Mirella, Giovanna (Angelo), and Luana (Paolo), as well as by her cherished grandchildren: Jonathan (Mary), Joseph, Gianfranco, Giulianna, Jasmine, Jessica, Gianna, Jordano, Mario, and Makayla, and her great-grandson Loxley. Albina is also survived by her dear brother, Antonio DeRose, and will be lovingly remembered by many friends, clients, and extended family. <br> <br>Albina lived an extraordinary life, defined by her fierceness, strength, wit, and enduring love for her family. She was a pillar of her community, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished. <br> <br>The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate teams in the Gynecologic Oncology Department and the Palliative Care Unit at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and support. <br> <br>Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, as well as on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.
