Alwyn Alleyne
April 15, 1939 - August 23, 2023
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Alwyn Alleyne, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, great-uncle, friend and retired cook at the Royal Victoria Hospital, on the morning of Wednesday August 23, 2023 at Lakeshore General Hospital following a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Ida, daughters Catherine and Cynthia; brothers Randolph (Colleen) and Wesley (Donna); and sister Gloria. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. This teddy bear of a man who enjoyed gardening, watching wrestling, and cooking for those he loved, will be greatly missed. Thank you to the staff of the Lakeshore Oncology and ER departments who took care of our dad over the last two years.
Visitation will take place at Rideau Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 4275 blvd. des Sources, Dollard des Ormeaux, QC, H9B 2A6 on Wednesday September 6 from 5-7pm and on Thursday September 7 from 10-11 am, followed by a service at 11 am and burial at 12:30pm. Please wear a disposable mask.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Lakeshore General Hospital's Oncology department.
