Anne Walker Morris, 92, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2025.
Her family lovingly remembers her as a resilient woman of strength and intelligence, deeply devoted to her home and family. Anne (Joseph Morris), affectionately known as ‘Gran’ leaves behind her 4 children, Jennifer (Norm Platt), Stephen (Linda Beausoleil), Kevin (Josée Beauregard) and Catherine as well as her grandchildren: Geoff (Miia), Chris (Emily) & Heather (Zach), Lauren & Liam, Sean & Justin. She was also a great grandmother to Nelli and Mari, whose bright smiles and sparkling blue eyes brought a twinkle to her own in her final years.
Anne was one of 7 children born to Charles F. Walker and Catherine Rush. She spoke proudly of her father’s importance to the community as Chief of Police in Montreal West. A voracious reader, jigsaw puzzle aficionado, lifelong gardener and lover of nature, Anne led a peaceful life with simple pleasures. A wizard with the sewing machine, Anne spent countless hours selecting fabrics and crafting beautiful wardrobes from a collection of well-loved patterns. She will be remembered for her leisurely strolls through the neighbourhood of Roxboro long after her tennis legs had retired.
The family is honouring her wish to be remembered as vibrant and cheerful, and will grieve her passing privately.
