Anne Yakamovich Gaudreau, passed away peacefully at Chomedey Laval Quebec with her Son Richard Gaudreau by her side on Tuesday February 11, 2025, at 12.31AM at the age of 96 and a half.
Pre-deceased by her Parents Matys and Katherine Yakamovich, her grandmother Sophia, her Husband Romeo Gaudreau, 3 Brothers, Bill, Johnny and Peter Yakamovich; 5 Sisters, Jean Buday, Effie Hrycyk, Lennie (Lena) Dobbie, Olga Davies and Mary Dzuba.
Left to cherish the precious memories of ANNE is her daughter Joanne Slaoui, grand-daughters Camelia and Leila Slaoui and great grand-daughter Penny. Her 2 Sons Denis and Richard Gaudreau, Grand-Daughters Sabrina, Valerie and Marilou Gaudreau. Others to mention are Caroline, Criss, Tetiana, Rita and her daughter Cheryl in Ontario, Don in BC and Don in Minnesota, Clint and Sally in Saskatchewan, Brian in Alberta, Yvonne in Manitoba, as well as many other family and friends, some old and some new.
She was good natured in the purest sense, A wonderful spirit that loved and was loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew her, she offered a kind generosity, she was simple, fun, peaceful, selfless and strong.
She was a proud Canadian, Ukrainian Heritage, her parents and grandmother came to Canada in 1917, 11 years later, she was born in Manitoba, the youngest of 9 children, when young she lived in Saskatchewan where she loved her rabbits, she lived in in BC, Nova Scotia and settled in Quebec where she lived most of her life with her Family, her husband Romeo and 3 children.
She loved preparing feasts for family at Easter and Christmas, planning days ahead. Mom loved her family, loved her pets, she liked baking pies, cabbage rolls, sewing, pickling and gardening, sitting in her backyard, eating cherries. When she laughed and smiled it was always true and honest and genuine. How amazing and good you were Maam, all throughout your life, my mom, the best mom, words cannot express how much you will be missed, Richard.
Maam, you are and will be Dearly missed beyond measure for all time.
