Arnold was born in Rouyn-Noranda Quebec, in the Abitibi region. Some of Arnold’s family, including his grandfather and uncles and aunts came to know the Lord through the witness of many faithful missionaries that had come to the region. He attended L’Église Baptiste de Rouyn where he accepted the Lord and was baptized. As a teenager he helped out in the church and spent many hours at Camp Opasitika in Rollet Quebec, helping in so many ways. It was in Rouyn where he met his future wife who was also working at the camp and in the church ministries. They were married on March 21st, 1970 and returned to Rouyn to live. He started at Lakehead university in Thunder Bay in September of that year and graduated in Library technology. They then packed up and headed for Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto. After graduation, he worked in church planting in Aylmer Quebec. He later pastored in Eganville, Ontario, Bobcaygeon, and finally came back again to Quebec to pastor L’Église Baptiste de la Grace in Verdun. Unfortunately, after a brief 3 years he was forced into early retirement because of illness. He continued to serve the Lord in whatever church he attended and developed a ministry in doing many funerals in the Montreal area and also marriages for L’Amour et Mariage.

He was blessed with two children; his daughter Adrielle, his son Joel, and later his daughter’s children Jessiah and Nathaniel. He deeply loved them all.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that you please make a donation in Arnold's name to the Lakeside Heights Baptist Church, the Africa Inland Mission or any other charity or mission of your choice.
