<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Asif John on August 27th, 2022. <br> <br>Born in Pakistan, Faisalabad (chak 462, Samundari) on the 10th December 1953. Elder Asif John was born to Yousaf Diyal Masih and Ruth Masih. Elder Asif John had 4 siblings, he was the 3rd of 5 children. <br> <br>His early education was completed in Lahore. He completed, his electrician course in Karachi and found work in Steel Mills Karachi. After a while, he returned to Lahore and was employed at Itefaq Foundary. <br> <br>At age 28, Elder Asif John married to Surriya Charag on 8th February 1981 and God blessed him with 5 children. <br> <br>From 1995-1997, Elder Asif John seized the opportunity to travel and visit Thailand, Turkey and Iran. <br> <br>In 1998, He started his own chicken shop business and in 1999 he came to Canada, where his elder brother William John was residing (Vancouver, Canada). He moved to Montreal, Quebec after finding out that Athar Stephen(nephew) was living there. <br> <br>From 2000-2015, Elder Asif, worked at Rail Tech. In 2003, his family was able to join him in Canada and resided in Parc-Extension, Montreal until God blessed him with a beautiful house in 2015 (Vaudreuil, Dorion). There, he was able to marry off two of his children by LORD’s grace and he was able to see 5 grandchildren before he departed. <br> <br>Elder Asif John was a very active member of Mission Revival Church International and served faithfully as an elder. He was seen recording most of the events happening in church. He was also the first to establish church building fund initiative and consistently encouraged people to contribute to this initiative. <br>Elder Asif john left behind his grieving family members: <br> <br>Surriya Asif John (wife) <br>Kiran and Atif (daughter and son-in-law) <br>Daniel and Faiza (son and daughter-in-law) <br>Mona (daughter) <br>Samuel (son) <br>Including 5 grandchildren; Sabel, Abel, Octavia, Genesis and Mark. <br> <br>Visitation will take place at Acension Lutheran Church (865 Jarry W., Montreal, QC) on Saturday, September 10th at 10:30 am, followed by the funeral service at church. He will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens (701 ave Donegani, Pointe-Claire, QC) following the funeral service.
