“There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.” - Mahatma Gandhi

On the morning of August 25th 2023, Bertrand Ward, beloved husband to Monique Morin and adored father to Deborah (Ronald Bertrand), Patrick (Jennifer Said), Philippe (Sonia Isabel), and late Michael, took his last breath surrounded by his loved ones in a serene departure at the palliative care unit of St-Eustache hospital.

Predeceased by his granddaughter Hailey, he leaves in mourning, along with his wife, his children and their spouses, his grandchildren Rebecca, Shayne, Meghan, Cameron, Daphnée and Charles-Antoine, whom he was so proud of and loved dearly, cousins, nieces and nephews, caring neighbours, and dear friends from home and Florida, his second home.

Bert was a people’s man, a man of service, a charming man with a thousand jokes and a clear and organized mind who loved it when people came to him for advice. His advice was always point on, well-thought out and full of wisdom and common sense.

Even when his agonizing body was failing him, he managed to stay positive and face death like a gentle warrior and with a feeling of accomplishment and lessons learned.

He will be remembered on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from noon to 4:00 pm at Rideau Memorial Gardens 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard des Ormeaux QC H9B 2A6.

Visitation from noon to 3:00pm will be followed by a Celebration of life at 3:00pm.

______________________________

“Il n’y a pas d’adieux pour nous.
