<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Betty Geraldine Millington (Thomas) on May 16, 2020, at the age of 97, in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec. She was born in Oakville, Ontario, raised in Montreal, Quebec and was a lifelong member of the Union United Church. Betty was also a founding member of the Sweet Sixteen Colored Women’s’ Club. She loved to bowl, travel, knit, bake, socialize and visit family. <br> <br>She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Rodney Sportsman Millington, Sr., (affectionately known as Bets), and loving mother to Rodney Jr., (Dawn), Paula (predeceased), Gail (Patrick), Wanda (Gregory) and Christopher; beloved grandmother to Tina, Rodney (Josie), Anissa (Brent), Ian, Jordan (Rebecca), June, Levar (Jessica), Christopher Jr. and Lorenzo; adoring great-grandmother to DaVonne, Alysha, Letrell, AJ, Kennedy, Denzel, Nahla, Taviss, Ilanna and Harper – also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her little angels, grandson Brian and great grandson Mason. <br> <br>Due to the COVID-19 epidemic and regulations by the Quebec Government, only the immediate family will be allowed to attend the private funeral service. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date with family and friends.
