<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Bill Sheppard’s passing, following a valiant journey with cancer. He left us peacefully, surrounded by his devoted wife of 41 years, Kathy, and his three children, Megan (Jason), Laura, and Chris (Taylor). He is remembered fondly by his siblings, Ronald (Susan), Patsy (Dalius), and Wendy (Wayne), as well as by many nieces, nephews, friends, and former colleagues at the Montreal General Hospital, where he worked for 46 years. He had a child-like joy and love for life that carried him and us through even the darkest days. His greatest pleasure in his final weeks was meeting and getting to know his first grandchild, Bria. Visitation will be held at the Rideau Funeral Home at 4239 Sources Boulevard in D.D.O on Wednesday, December 10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Thursday, December 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The memorial service, burial, and reception will follow, starting at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Bill has requested donations to either the Cedars CanSupport Foundation or the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation.</div>
