It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Brenda Morrison (Yule) at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, age 77 years. Brenda was predeceased by her parents David Yule and Jessie (Bud) Ross, her Uncle James Ross and her brother in law Ken. She is survived by her husband John, her Aunt Bea Ross, her sister in law Linda Lees (David), nieces Alexandra and Kimberly and nephew Scott.
After completing her B.A. at Sir George Williams University Brenda worked at Canada Manpower for 10 years and then for 36 years at John Abbott CEGEP as an academic advisor. Thousands of students went through her office seeking advice on navigating often complex academic requirements, prerequisites and programs in order to successfully apply to the university of their choice. She loved her interactions with these young adults. Her cheery disposition, welcoming smile and sense of humor endeared her to her students and colleagues and her many friends.
Brenda loved animals of all kinds. Her passion was horses. She was an avid rider, dog owner, cat owner and always kept the bird feeders full. She frequented two libraries often reading 3-4 books a week.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday September 15, 2-5 pm, at Tadja Hall 21082 Lakeshore Rd Sainte Anne de Bellevue. In lieu of flowers, donations to the oncology clinic of the Lakeshore General Hospital would be appreciated.
Her inner beauty mirrored her external beauty. Brenda will be sorely missed.
