<div itemprop="description"><br>Le Français à suivre. <br> <br> <br>Carita passed away peacefully on April 7, after a brief illness, in the presence of her loved ones. She was the beloved wife of the late Pierre Dubuc for 52 joyful years. She was a devoted and caring mother to her 3 sons Daniel, Paul, and Mathieu. They will miss her positive personality and loving guidance very much. <br> <br>She is also mourned by her family from the Ottawa area: her sisters-in-law Lucille Dubuc (late Stephen Hudec) and Diane Charlebois (Richard Charlebois); her brothers-in-law Raymond Dubuc (Sharon Sprague), Michel Dubuc (Sylvie Touchette) and the late Paul (Jocelyne Dubuc), as well as her nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn are her Canadian Macdonald cousins: Jocelyn Goodine and Peter Macdonald, from Winnipeg and Joan Bruser from Toronto, as well as those in New Zealand: David Dewar (Beverly) and Susan Guthrie. <br> <br>Carita and Pierre enjoyed travelling and the family made many interesting trips all over the world. <br> <br>For most of her career Carita was a social worker in various health and social services agencies in the West Island of Montreal. She was also a dedicated volunteer for over 30 years with AVATIL, a non-profit organization providing support services to individuals with a mild intellectual disability. She served on the board of directors in several capacities, including twice as President. <br> <br>Following her retirement, Carita enjoyed gardening, painting, and exhibited some of her amazing paintings during various art exhibitions at the Dollard des Ormeaux Civic Centre. <br> <br>Carita was an enthusiastic and supportive person, ready to help anyone in need. She was a dearly loved friend to so many and will be missed. <br> <br>Visitation will take place on Wednesday April 20 from 10:00 am to 12 noon, followed by a celebration of her life, at the Rideau Funeral home, 4275 boul. des Sources, DDO. Elle était l’épouse de feu Pierre Dubuc depuis 52 belles années. Elle laisse dans le deuil, ses trois fils bien aimés, Daniel, Paul et Mathieu dont elle s’est occupée avec beaucoup d’amour et de dévouement. Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil trois belles-sœurs: Lucille (feu Steve Hudec), Diane (Richard Charlebois), Jocelyne (feu Paul Dubuc), deux beaux-frères: Raymond (Sharon Sprague), Michel (Sylvie Touchette), et plusieurs neveux et nièces. <br> <br>Lui survivent des cousins de la famille Macdonald, Jocelyne Goodine et Peter de Winnipeg, Joan Bruser de Toronto ainsi que ceux de la Nouvelle Zélande, David Dewar (Beverly) et Susan Guthrie. <br> <br>Carita a travaillé comme travailleuse sociale dans Montréal Ouest et comme bénévole pendant 30 années pour l’association AVATIL. Dans son temps libre, <br>Carita aimait jardiner, peindre et participer à de nombreuses expositions d’œuvres d’art au Centre Dollard Des Ormeaux. Carita était une personne dévouée, enthousiaste et chaleureuse, donnant généreusement son temps à tous ceux et celles dans le besoin. <br> <br>On lui compte de très nombreux amis et amies dont Marjie Rutherford qui, avec Daniel et Mathieu l’a accompagnée dans ses derniers moments. <br>La visite aura lieu le mercredi 20 avril de 10h à midi, suivie de la célébration au Centre funéraire Rideau, 4275 Boul.
