<div itemprop="description">URQUHART, Carl<br /><br />1946-2014<br /><br /><br /><br />Carl passed away at Lakeshore General Hospital in Montreal on July 2, 2014. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Marion (Gunter) and Percy Urquhart of Whites Cove, NB, by his niece Debbie Farris and his beloved dog Maximilian. Carl leaves behind his best friend Andrew Yang of Montreal. His sister Kathryn Lawson of Fredericton, NB, niece Michelle Corey (Colin) of Calgary and two grand nephews Tyler and Evan Corey of Calgary, Alberta. <br /><br /><br /><br />He was born in Whites Cove, New Brunswick on September 24, 1946. He graduated from Cambridge Rural High School. At that time he received the Lord Beaverbrook Scholarship to attend the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton of which he graduated with Honors. Carl went to Montreal and enrolled in the McGill University and Graduate with distinction in Piano Performance. He became the Associate Director of McGill Conservatory of Music. Within his career he studied at the University of Exeter, England. Carl&rsquo;s passion was teaching his music students.<br /><br /><br /><br />Celebration of Carl&rsquo;s life will be held at Rideau Memorial Gardens &amp; Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc 514-685-3344 on July 5 at 2 p.m. and immediately following the service, he will be taken to his final resting place.<br /><br /><br /><br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. <br /><br /><br /><br />You can sign the online guestbook at www.rideaumemorial.com</div>
