<div itemprop="description">Carlos Manuel Campos de Azevedo passed away peacefully on October 7, 2021, after several years battling heart and pulmonary diseases. He is survived by his loving wife Maria Luisa (née Braçal), his two children Pedro Manuel (Laurie-Ann) and Ana Maria (Enrique), his two grandchildren Tomás and Alexandre as well as by his cousin Margarida (Guilherme) in Portugal. <br> <br>Carlos was an electrical engineer by profession with specialization in communications. He graduated with a Master’s degree from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal. During his career, he worked on important communications infrastructure projects, namely as Project Manager for the "9-1-1" emergency services for the Montreal region in the 1980's and, as a consultant, to the City of Laval on their emergency communications in the late 1990's and 2000's. <br> <br>In his personal public life, he was the "life of the party" and the last one to leave. In his personal private life, he was a caring father focused on teaching his kids on many different subjects and had a passion for trains and model trains. He loved to read and learn about a variety of topics. <br> <br>A service will take place on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, 514-685-3344, rideau@arbormemorial.ca. For those who would like, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in his memory. <br></div>
