It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Tunis (née Gagnon), who left us on November 26th, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 19th, 1951, she was dearly loved by all her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband, David, Carol will be dearly missed by her loving children; Laura (Nick) and Christopher (Hannah) and cherished grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin, who were her pride and joy for the last 3 years. She will also be missed by her last surviving sibling, her twin brother Carl (Birgit) and her niece and nephew, Ashley and Daniel (Adriana), not to mention a multitude of other relatives, close friends, and of course, her cat, Mr.Gibbs.
Carol will always be remembered as a fighter who never complained and always maintained a positive, one-day-at-a-time attitude. She loved her family and always talked about how lucky she was and how she wished that others could be as lucky as her. Carol had the most generous heart and would do anything for those she loved.
We invite family and friends to come pay their last respects at Rideau Funeral Home in DDO on Sunday, December 7th, from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (with tribute / eulogy at 1:30 p.m.).
