With great sadness we announce that our beloved mother and nonna, Caterina (Rita) Lubertino Monte, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 28th just shy of her 94th birthday.
She leaves to mourn her children Enza (late Domenic) and Peter (Jo-Ann), her grandchildren Tobia (Meaghan), Anthony (Jessica), Steven (Emily), Anthony (Emily) and Dianna (Anthony) and her great grandchildren Luca, Ava, Mia, Domenic and Declan.
She will be dearly missed by her sisters Maria and Antonietta (Antonino) in Italy and her sister-in-law Cristina as well as many other family members and friends in Canada and Italy.
The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Des Sources, DDO, on Sunday May 7th from 5PM to 9PM & Monday May 8th, as of 9:30AM followed by a funeral service at 10:30AM.
In lieu of flowers, a donation made to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Center or the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
