Catherine (Ore) Simard, January 25, 1949 - November 30, 2022 - Daughter of the late Dennis C. Ore and Marion E. Davies, Catherine’s life was one that was filled with Love, Dreams and Service.

The Love and Dreams came primarily through family, embodied in her marriage of 52 years (and counting) with Yves, her three sons (Paul, Marc, Kevin), her daughters-in-love, and her beautiful grandchildren. She was also blessed with six siblings, and many more who were family in her heart if not by blood.

The Service was expressed through her work and volunteerism, be it as a daycare owner or real estate agent, or through the organizations that she cared most about, top on that list being The West Island Women’s Shelter. Her life will echo through all those she touched, and continues to live through.

Visitation will be held at the Rideau Funeral Home (4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, Quebec H9B 2A6) on Friday, December 16th (3pm - 5pm and 6:30pm - 8:30pm).

The funeral is an invitation to all friends and family, and will be held at St. John Fisher Church (120 Av. Summerhill, Pointe-Claire, QC H9R 2L7) on Saturday, December 17th (11am). A reception will be held following the funeral in the hall at the church.

As a part of the legacy that she seeks to leave, Cathy asked that, in lieu of flowers, you please consider joining the many who have already donated to the West Island Women’s Shelter campaign that started earlier this summer.
