<div itemprop="description">Charles (Chuck) Bethel, 88 years old, passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore, General Hospital on the island of Montreal, November 10, 2016 with his family present. <br> <br>Chuck was born in Nassau, Bahamas on April 15, 1928 to Charles Percival Bethel and his wife Victoria Maude Bethel. <br> <br>He completed his high school studies at Queen’s College in Nassau, Bahamas and decided to attend Boston University where he obtained his college degree in Mathematics and Physical Education in 1951. <br> <br>Chuck travelled to Montreal, Canada to start his career as a physical education teacher in the fall of 1951. He married Elizabeth Johnston in 1952. <br> <br>For over 35 years, Chuck taught physical education classes and coached multiple sports teams at many schools in the Montreal School system of PSBGM. <br> <br>Chuck’s passion for life included all the students he taught for 35 plus years, the Montreal Barbarian Rugby team that he started in the 1950’s, his family (including his 2 dogs- Robbie and Brucie) and all his special friends in his life. <br> <br>Chuck is survived by his son, John Charles Bethel and partner Terree Neal, his daughter Jean Bethel and husband, Richard Rosenberg. <br>Grandchildren: Thomas John Bethel and wife Adelle Bethel, David Charles Bethel and wife Alexis Bethel <br>Lisanne Morcos ( Hadley ) Janine Morcos, Jeremy Morcos and Leah Bethel. <br>Great Grand Children: Isabella Bethel and Eleanor and James Hadley. <br> <br>Chuck was preceded in his death by his two parents, his sister, Doreen Staton and his son, James Bethel. <br> <br>A celebration of life service and reception will be held at the Roxboro United Church (116 Cartier street in Roxboro, Quebec, H8Y1G8) <br>On Friday, December 9 th at 11 am.</div>
