Cheryl Lloyd
July 14, 1946 - September 11, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Lloyd (Dolan) on September 11, 2023 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Don with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Loving mom to Tracy (Daniel), Terri ( Alain) and Ted (Amy). Cherished Nanny to Kayla (Davy), Alex, Lilly and Karlee.
Cheryl was predeceased by her parents Ada and George, her siblings Keith, Diane and Carol. She will be deeply missed by her sister Marilyn St. Jacques and sister in - law Therese Dolan along with numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her life long friends Eleanor and Vic Clifford, Karen and the late Ian Breckenridge, Sharon and the late Ron Sveinson, Pierre and the late Heather Vallee, Heather and the late Ron Tataryn, Bob and Draha Pick, Ron and the late Linda Banks ,the late Barbara and Dave Jones and the late Valerie and Wayne Wynn.
Cheryl was loved by all who came into her life. She loved music, dancing and feeding people. She was a wonderful baker and you knew you were extra special to her if you received a jar of homemade strawberry jam, homemade apple pie, tin of Christmas cookies, tarts or homemade chocolates.
She loved to spend her time with her family and friends. She always put everyone else first. She radiated kindness and compassion towards others.
Special thanks go out to nurse Daniela on 4 South at the Lakeshore General Hospital for her compassion and wonderful care and to nurse Heather at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence for treating Cheryl with the utmost dignity and compassion.
The family would also like to thank the following people for all their kindness and compassion shown.
Terry at Age in Motion for helping Cheryl regain her confidence and mobility after suffering a TIA.
Kathleen Lowe for being daughter #3 to Momma Cheryl and helping chauffeur her to medical appointments.
The wonderful staff at Bayshore Home Health Vaudreuil, Kerri Robinson and Chantal Vallee - we would have been lost without their guidance, support and personalized care plan.
To Susan Collins, Cheryl’s personal support worker who became a member of our family over the last 2 years. Cheryl and Susan clicked from their 1st meeting and became “Partners in Crime” and best friends. They shared many heartfelt moments and laughs together. We are forever indebted to her.
