It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Claire McCole (nee Stocker) on June 29, 2020. She was a loving and devoted wife to the late Neil McCole. She leaves behind her children Sean, Glen (Lianne) and Bridget (Robert), her grandson Austin as well as many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a mother, relative and friend who’s love and generosity had no bounds.

To know Claire, was to love her. She fed off the energy of being around others both young and old. All her life she gave her time selflessly to various volunteer work around the West-Island. She was a Mom to more than just her children and her door was always open to everyone.
Her love, friendship and brilliant smile will be missed greatly by many in her community.

Visitations will be held at the Rideau Funeral Home (4275 Sources Blvd. DDO, H9B 2A6) on Thursday July 16th, 2019, from 10am to 12pm. Due to current social distancing measures, there are restrictions on how many can visit at one time. We would be honored to receive you, but ask that you contact her daughter, Bridget at bridgetmccole@gmail.com to arrange a time so we can plan accordingly.

Due to Covid-19, a private funeral service will be held for her immediate family, following the visitations.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to her church, St-John the Baptist (233 Ste-Claire Avenue, Pointe-Claire, H9S-4E3, would be greatly appreciated.

A special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at Residence Château Pierrefonds for allowing Claire to spend her last 2 years of her life surrounded by smiles and genuinely caring people.
