Claude Joseph Paul Alarie passed away peacefully on the evening of September 17, 2025, at the age of 72, surrounded by his three children.
Claude was a loving, compassionate, and devoted father, husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, and grandfather. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing him was touched by his kindness and presence.
He dedicated his career to health care as a PAB, where he shared his deep care and compassion with others. At the Montreal General Hospital’s palliative care unit, he made a lasting difference in the lives of his patients and their families. In recognition of his exceptional service and devotion, he was awarded the Director General’s Award in 2011.
Claude is survived by his three children, Paul, Philip, and Lauren; his cherished grandchildren, Logan, Mavrick, Liane, and Ethan; and his eight siblings. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m and from 6:00 to 8:00pm . at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, D.D.O. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m
