<div itemprop="description">Beloved and loving husband, brother, father. father-in-law and grandfather.<br><br>Survived by adoring wife Phyllis Holtz, dearest step-son Eric Holtz-Miller (Allison Skerrett), beloved son Michael Holtz-Mulholland (Élizabeth Béland), and adored grandchildren Claire and Anne.<br>Also survived by sisters Rose-Marie s.c.i.c. and Gertrude s.c.i.c.; and brothers John, Gerard, and Raymond, Predeceased by brothers Michael and Leo.<br><br>He was, for thirty-six years, a teacher at many schools of the Montreal Catholic School Commission and the English Montreal School Board.<br>He was a Past-President, Bird Protection Quebec; Past Chair, Property Committee, Beaurepaire United Church; Past representative of Beaconsfield Lawn Bowling Club to the Quebec Federation.<br><br>David was an enthusiastic birder and made many friends in the birding community. He had been a keen curler, and later in life, a dedicated lawn bowler. He was deeply concerned about environmental issues and worked with Bird Protection Quebec and Nature Conservancy of Canada to help acquire and maintain various wildlife habitats in Quebec.<br><br>He was a kind man, a good man; calm, caring, a rock to be depended upon by all who knew him.<br><br>Our loss leaves a void that can never be refilled.<br><br>David would like donations to be made to Bird Protection Quebec at birdprotectionquebec.org or at PO Box 67089 - Lemoyne, Saint-Lambert, QC, J4R 2T8<br></div>
