<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Daying Wang, who peacefully left us on September 25, 2026, at the age of 94 years. <br> <br>Born in China in 1932, she studied in the Mathematics Department of the Central China Normal University. After graduating in 1955, she became one of the first female faculty and later the deputy chairwoman in the same department. In 1977, she became the head of the Public Health Department. Subsequently, she was appointed as the Director of the Library of Central China Normal University, where she oversaw the rapid expansion and modernization of the library until her retirement in 1988. Throughout her career, she mentored many young professionals, was always happy to provide advice, and remained in their lives long past her retirement. <br> <br>She had an incredible joie de vivre: She was always stylish, played basketball and croquet, and followed various sports such as volleyball, soccer, and basketball as a spectator. She also loved the arts, devoting time to supervising her grandchildren practicing their instruments, listening to music in her free time, singing, dancing, and acting. <br> <br>Mrs. Wang touched the lives of everyone around her with her radiant smile, her earnestness, her warmth, and her passion. She will forever be remembered. <br> <br>Mrs. Wang will be dearly missed by her loving son Xingwu and daughter Danlu and their spouses, cherished grandchildren, and a multitude of relatives, friends and colleagues. <br> <br>A celebration of her life will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux (Quebec) H9B 2A6 on October 3, 2026, from 10:00 am.</div>
