<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Deborah “Debbie” Pamela Howell who left us on March 21st 2025 at the age of 62. She was surrounded by loved ones as she peacefully passed away in Palliative Care when she lost her battle to lung cancer. <br> <br>Debbie was devoted wife to Stevan Ratsch, she was the proud mother of Samantha Ratsch (Cedrick Lortie), and Christopher Ratsch (Marie Thibault). Debbie was the loving daughter of Arthur Howell and Lorraine Taylor and a cherished sister to Arthur Howell, (Johanne St-Amand), Andrew Howell, and Delva Howell. <br> <br>Debbie was known for her unwavering kindness, strength, and unconditional love. She dedicated her life to her family and would give the shirt off her back to help others. Her selflessness and gentle spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind countless memories of laughter, support, and joy. Debbie was a cashier at IGA and took pride in serving the clients of Laval West. In her free time, she loved watching Judge Judy and drinking beer in her garden. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. <br> <br>Special thanks to Gracia Foundation Palliative Care who made Debbie’s final moments as comfortable as possible. We would also like to thank Dr. Reginald Comeau, and the Oncology Team at Cite de la Sante in Laval. We would also like to thank the endless support from friends and family during these difficult times. Debbie truly felt the unconditional love she always gave to others. <br> <br>The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, on Satuday April 12th 2025 as of 1 pm followed by a celebration of her life at 3:30 pm. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local food bank can be made in her honour, as Debbie’s believed that no one should ever go hungry. <br></div>
