The world has just gotten a little quieter. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah (Debbie) Marsh, who died peacefully just days after celebrating her 70th birthday.
Debbie was a vibrant soul who brought warmth, wit, and an undeniable flair for style wherever she went. Whether she was lighting up a room with her smile or stepping out in her signature leopard print, she lived life with confidence and charisma, often with a drink in her hand, and refused to apologize for living life out loud.
Debbie built a dedicated career first at Bell Canada and later at Future Electronics, where her strong work ethic and genuine care for others earned her the respect and friendship of many. She was a loyal friend—fiercely supportive and always ready to listen, laugh, or lend a hand.
Debbie spent countless weekends on the ski hills in her younger years and gradually added golf and bowling to her list of favorite pastimes. She invariably carried her golf clubs and bowling ball in the trunk of her car and was always game for a last-minute excursion.
Debbie had a spirited love for travel and enjoyed many trips to Europe and of course her beloved Las Vegas, a city that matched her energy and sense of adventure. Whether it was the thrill of a big win or just the glitter of the Strip, Vegas brought her joy, and she returned to it often.
More than anything, Debbie will be remembered for her loyalty and the way she made people feel seen and appreciated. Her presence was a gift and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Debbie was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Hlasney, her father Bernard and her beloved step mother Carole McGee. She also leaves behind other family members, her lifelong friend Nancy, Nancy’s husband Don and their daughter Angela whom Debbie considered her own.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at 13,330 Pierrefonds Blvd., Reception Room, Pierrefonds, QC (parking available on side streets). Please join us in sharing your cherished memories and stories as we celebrate our Debbie. Your words will help honor her life and the joy she brought to all of us.
Heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at the Jewish General Hospital as well to Dr. Jason Agulnik and his oncology team for their unwavering dedication, compassion and expertise. Your support, attentive care, kind words and tireless effort made an incredible difference during a challenging time.
Donations in Debbie’s memory can be made to EMPOWERink, an initiative that was especially close to her heart.
