A celebration of life

Mom went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 15, 2024 and although we know that we will be with her again someday in heaven – we are broken-hearted.
Jean Goonada Dhanesar, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 15th, 2024

Jean was born 1945 in Trinidad and grew up surrounded by her large family. Jean was influenced by her family to be a strong, loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. She met her husband Premnath at a house party and they fell in love.

Her kitchen was a sanctuary - a place where stories were shared, laughter echoed and memories were made. Jean poured her heart into every dish, believing that feeding her family was the greatest expression of love. Jean’s spirit of generosity extended beyond her family. To her, everyone was family! Friends and neighbours alike were welcomed with open arms and a kitchen full of food, ensuring no one left her home hungry or without feeling cherished. She was generous, loving and kind.

She will be greatly missed by her family & friends. Her late parents Albert & Pydama. Her husband Premnath of 49 years. Daughters Melissa & Tricia (Mario) and her grandchildren, Olivia, Sarah, Sofia, Elena & Adrian who adore her. Jean is also survived by her beloved sister Kolo, late Baboonie (Bob), late Baboolal, late Boysie, late Bobo, & brother Michael…. as well as many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she adored. She truly was a blessing to each & everyone of us.

John 14:1-3
Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am

Our family would like to thank so many people for their love, support and care throughout this journey. To our family and friends, we say thank you for your prayers, love and acts of kindness.

For those who would like to join the family virtually, we invite yo9u to use the following link to our Livestream Platform: https://fweb.tv/157351
