<div itemprop="description">Diane den Heyer, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday May 9, 2023. <br> <br>She met Pieter in the early 1960's and the two were married April 8, 1967. She loved to travel, and that she did, while working as a stewardess for Air Canada. However to Diane, family comes first and in the early eighties one of the children was not reacting well to Diane's flying. <br> <br>She decided to retire from flying and stay home, which she did for two years. Diane being the active person she was, then began a career in real estate at which she excelled for many years. While being active in real estate she also helped out in teaching French and became an exceptional tutor. <br> <br>Diane always thought of the children, ranging from the special treatment of them on her flights to the special playroom in her real estate office and the in-depth appreciation of their abilities while tutoring. <br> <br>She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Pieter; sons Peter Jr., Patrick, daughter Johanna Sauvé (Dan): grandchildren Amélie (Carl-Mathieu), Dali, Calvin and Beau; great grandchildren Zachary and William. <br> <br>We love you and you will live within us forever. <br> <br>The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Sunday June 4th 2023 as 0f 12:30 followed by a service at 2pm. <br> <br>Those who would like to join the family virtually may do so by using our Livestream platform using the following link: https://fweb.tv/101644 <br> <br> <br> <br> Diane den Heyer, épouse bien-aimée, mère, grand-mère et arrière-grand-mère est décédée à la maison entourée de sa famille et de ses amis le mardi 9 mai 2023. <br> <br>Elle a rencontré Pieter au début des années 1960 et les deux se sont mariés le 8 avril 1967. Elle aimait voyager, et c'est ce qu'elle a fait, alors qu'elle travaillait comme hôtesse de l'air pour Air Canada. Cependant, pour Diane, la famille passe avant tout et au début des années 80, l'un des enfants ne réagissait pas bien au vol de Diane. <br> <br>Elle a décidé de se retirer de l'aviation et de rester à la maison, ce qu'elle a fait pendant deux ans. Diane étant la personne active qu'elle était, entama alors une carrière dans l'immobilier où elle excella pendant de nombreuses années. Tout en étant active dans l'immobilier, elle a également aidé à enseigner le français et est devenue une tutrice exceptionnelle. <br> <br>Diane a toujours pensé aux enfants, allant du traitement spécial qui leur était réservé sur ses vols à la salle de jeux spéciale de son bureau immobilier et à l'appréciation approfondie de leurs capacités pendant le tutorat. <br> <br>Elle laisse dans le deuil son mari depuis 56 ans, Pieter; fils Peter Jr., Patrick, fille Johanna Sauvé (Dan): petits-enfants Amélie (Carl-Mathieu), Dali, Calvin et Beauet ses arrière-petits-enfants Zachary et William. <br> <br>Nous t'aimons et tu vivras en nous pour toujours! <br> <br>La famille recevra les condoléances à la Maison Funéraire Rideau, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, le dimanche 4 juin 2023 à compter de 12:30 suivies d'une célébration de sa vie à 14h. <br> <br>Pour ceux qui aimeraient se joindre virtuellement à la famille durant la cérérmone, nous vous invitions à utiliser le lien suivant sur notre plateforme de diffusion directe: https://fweb.tv/101644 <br></div>
