It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Piché (née Dominica Balan) who left us suddenly on April 9, 2025 at 92 years of age. Born on October 19, 1932 she was a beloved spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt and friend of many.
Dorothy, pre-deceased by her husband Lucien Piche, will be dearly missed by her loving daughter Johanne (Bill) and her cherished grandchildren Phillip and Sarah (Daniel). The last of 11 children she is pre-deceased by Jean (Nick), Jimmy (Annie), Tina (William), Joe (Vera), Mary (Ronnie), Nick, Helen, Lily, George, Vera (Guy). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and long-time friends.
Known for her determination, perseverance, and giving nature Dorothy touched the lives of all who knew her. She will forever be remembered for her boundless energy and never give up attitude. She had a long storied 48 year career at Avon Canada and was a dedicated member of her church.
Visitation to take place on April 21, 2025 from 02:00-04:00 PM and 07:00-09:00 PM at Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, H9B 2A6. Funeral service to take place on April 22, 2025, 01:00 PM at the Romanian Orthodox Church, 8070 avenue Christophe-Colomb, Montreal, H2R 2S9. She will then be laid to rest with her husband at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 701 Avenue Donegani, Pointe-Claire, H9R 5G6.
Reception to follow at the Rideau Funeral Home from 04:00-06:00 PM.
