<div itemprop="description">It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Donat Bougie at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Residence on June 27th at the age of 80 years old after a long battle with Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer’s. <br>Donat was predeceased by his parents, Cecile and Donat Sr. He leaves to mourn his 2 beloved children Marc (Alexandra) and Caroline (Nick) and the mother of his children Thérèse. Donat also leaves behind his grandchildren Serena and Adamo, whom he lovingly adored and who brought great joy to his life. Donat is also survived by his three sisters Arlene, Pearl and Lise. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend Harry as well. <br>Special thanks goes to St Anne’s CHSLD-Veteran’s hospital for their care in the last few years. An incredible thanks goes out to Dr Serena Lala, from the Lakeshore General Hospital for providing compassionate care. She is an earth angel for sure. A huge thank you to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care residence and their staff for providing an extraordinarily warm, compassionate and loving environment allowing Donat to be comfortable and at peace. <br>Donat will always be remembered fondly by his family and friends. He was kind, strong, resilient, hardworking and a fun loving one of kind type of guy! <br>A lover of all bodies of water- rivers, lakes, oceans, etc…, having been the owner of his boat Etoile de la Mer and his speedboat too, he loved going on adventures. You can now sail again but this time to the shores that we cannot see. Enjoy your voyage.
