<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dorcas on Christmas Eve at the Jewish General Hospital. <br> <br>She leaves behind her husband Donald to whom she had been married for 55 years. Cherished mother of Jacqueline (Michael), Sonia (Colin), and Helen (Chris). Adored grandmother of Bianca, Jonathan, Mathieu, Justin, Michael, Ryan, Samantha, Amanda, and Meghan. <br> <br>Dorcas is predeceased by her parents Editha and Kenneth Griffith, sisters Allison (Lionel), Carmilla, brothers-in-law Roy, Carlisle, sister-in-law Colleen, and her cousin Leila. <br> <br>She is survived by her twin brother Reuben (Marsha), brothers Elnathan (Jasmine), Carvason (Frederica), sisters Ottaline, Althie, Wendy (Carlisle), and brother-in-law Jasper. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and close friends. <br> <br>Born in Barbados, she immigrated to Montréal in 1968 where she continued her career as a registered nurse and obtained her nursing diploma from Vanier College. She worked her entire career as a nurse and retired from the Jewish General Hospital in 1997. <br> <br>The family would like to thank the dialysis team at the Jewish General Hospital for their professionalism and quality care. We would also like to offer profound thanks to her cardiologist, Dr. Dominique Joyal, for his compassionate care. <br> <br>Dorcas was a God fearing woman, who loved to share the greatness of the Lord with everyone she met. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was a fighter who modelled resilience, perseverance and forgiveness in all of her interactions. <br> <br>She will be forever loved, deeply cherished and never forgotten. <br> <br>The viewing, funeral and interment will be held at Rideau Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4275 Sources Blvd. D.D.O QC H9B 2A6. <br> <br>January 9, 2023: Viewing - 5pm - 9pm <br> <br>January 10, 2023: Final viewing - 10am - 11am <br> Funeral - 11am - 12:30pm, interment to follow</div>
