It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Douglas Edmund Eleazor Woodward on May 8th, 2020, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Born to Benjamin Ezekiel and Viola Woodward on October 5th, 1950 at Prospect on the Island of Saint-Vincent and The Grenadines, he was the youngest of six children. Douglas had a fondness for education and became a teacher in Saint Vincent. He migrated to Canada in 1971 where he furthered his education at Concordia University, graduating in 1980, after which he began his career in the healthcare sector.

Two years later, he wed his beloved wife Rosita, whom he was introduced to one Sunday afternoon at Church.
Douglas will be remembered by his beloved wife of thirty-eight years; Rosita and three children, Belinda, Ayana and Nolan, many cousins and friends.
Always hard-working, honest and loving, his absence will truly be felt by all those who were blessed to know him.

His love for dominoes, entertaining, cricket and cooking for all, was only surpassed by the boundless love he felt for his family and friends. We will all miss his warm and hearty greetings, perpetual full-faced, all cheeks smile, funny stories, and his signature greeting and sign-off of “Yes Bredda”.

Douglas will be greatly missed by his brothers; Everal, Alexis, Russell, Beresford, and sister Yvonne. Also, missing him will be his good friend George Stewart, his cousin Stuart Brereton his many nieces and nephews, Brothers and Sisters in-law.

We would like to thank the staff at the Jewish General Hospital who cared for him and supported our family during this last month.

Much gratitude to the many who prayed and provided spiritual support to his family.

With Love,

The Woodward Family.

The family will receive the condolences at Rideau Funeral Home (4275, boul.
