<div itemprop="description">In loving memory of Mr. Edward ‘Eddy ‘Lightfoot <br><br>January 4,1940 – November 14,2025 <br><br>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Edward “Eddy” Lightfoot, who departed this life peacefully on November 14th, 2025, at the age of 85. <br><br>To all who knew him, Eddy was a man of great warmth, kindness and generosity. Truly one of the good ones. Eddy built his life and career on hard work, compassion, always putting others before himself. Whether it was offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or lending a listening ear, Eddy was there without hesitation. His gentle spirit and unwavering love for his wife, children, family and his friends touched countless lives. <br><br>Eddy is survived by his beloved wife, Marian (Swiednicki), his loving soulmate and devoted partner of over 60 years. <br><br>Born on January 4, 1940, in Griffintown, Montreal, to the late Henry and Dorothy (Noble), Eddy later settled in Lasalle with Marian, where they raised their four children. Deeply involved in his community, he spent many years coaching his children’s sports teams, creating cherished memories and lifelong friendships along the way. He was predeceased by his brother Henry and his sister Elsie. <br><br>Eddy will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his children, Peter (Georgia), Steven, grandchildren Jasmine, Anthony, siblings David (Lorna), Brother In-law Michael (Judy), nieces, nephews, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. <br><br>The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank- you to the entire staff at CHSLD Nazaire -Piche who cared for and treated Eddy with the outmost respect, dignity from beginning to end. <br><br>The family will receive visitors at: <br><br>Rideau Funeral Home <br><br>4275 Boul Des Sources, <br><br>DDO, Quebec <br><br>H9B 2A6 <br><br>Saturday, November 22, 2025 <br><br>Time: 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm <br><br>Forever in our hearts and deeply missed</div>
