<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Eileen Groulx (Briggs) on Sunday, July 16,2023 at the Chateau Dollard in Dollard-Des-Ormeaux at the age of 98. She was the devoted wife of 57 years to her late husband, John and the loving mother of Mitcheal (Tisa) and the late Beverley (Derek), grandmother to Karen (Tony), Mandy, Kimberley (Fred), and Lorinda (Dan), and great-grandmother to Kyle, Elena, Tatiana and Selina. <br>Eileen was an only child born in Leicester, England to Agnes (Bussey) and Sydney Briggs. She met and married John, who was a Canadian soldier, during WWII in England. After the war they moved to Cornwall, Ontario where their son, Mitcheal was born. A year or so later they returned to England where their daughter Beverley was born. In 1956 they settled back in Canada and raised their children in Montreal. Much of her working life was as a seamstress.<br>Eileen lived in Nepean with her daughter Beverley and son-in-law, Derek for six years until her daughter’s death at which time she moved back to Montreal.<br>Eileen was an extremely loving and devoted mother and her family was always her top priority.<br>The family would like to thank the staff, especially the PABs at the Chateau Dollard (Memory Care) for their kind, patient, devoted care shown to Eileen during the last 20 months. <br></div>
