<div itemprop="description">Elias Nabih Saikaly was born August 29, 1944, in Sidon, Lebanon. He died on June 19, 2022, surrounded by his wife, Amal and his son, Nabih. <br> <br>Elias graduated from the American University of Beirut with a degree in history, and married Amal Moughabghab on June 22, 1974. Due to the war in Lebanon, he and Amal relocated to Montreal in the fall of 1976 where they remained. He studied at McGill and got an MBA. He then was employed by Pfizer as an auditor and worked there for 26 years until his retirement. <br> <br> he is survived by Amal, by Nadine, his daughter, her husband, Alain Linton, and their children, Samuelle and Ella, by Nabih, his wife, Simone, and their children, Gavin and Faith, and by his sister, Nada, her husband, Claude and his nephew, Patrick. <br> <br>Elias was known for his puns and his sense of humour, his generosity and his kindness. He always had a warm word for a friend, a colleague or an acquaintance, and served faithfully for many years as an elder and clerck of session at the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
