<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Emily Kmec on March 1, 2024 at the age of 90. <br> <br>Beloved wife of the late Steve Kmec for 64 wonderful years, cherished mother of Mark (Lise) and Robert (Pierrette), devoted grandmother of Elliot (Kristiina), Evelyn (Daniel), Alexander (Laura), Tania (Jonathan), Gabrielle (PierreLuc) devoted greatgrandmother of Béatrice, Jeanne, Avery, Ezra, Eleanor, and Emilia. She will be missed by her nephews and nieces as well other relatives and friends. <br> <br>Emily was a dedicated volunteer at the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital for many years, an active participant of the Laval Women's group and an active bowler with Steve in various groups. <br> <br>The family will receive condolences on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, Arbor Memorial Inc. located at 4275, boul. des Sources, DollarddesOrmeaux QC CA, H9B 2A6. <br> <br>A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. <br> <br>Her eternal resting place will be at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 701 Ave. Donegani, PointeClaire, QC H9R 5G6. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation.</div>
