<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our father Ernst Heinrich Staub in his 94th year at Sunrise Residence in Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec, on October 14th, 2025. <br> <br> <br>Born in Switzerland he came to Montreal, Quebec Canada in 1957, where he met his wife Felizitas Kneifel, the love of his life. They got married in 1958 and raised three children while working together to build a successful business. Felizitas, his wife, passed away on September 15th, 2022. They had enjoyed 64 years of marriage filled with love. <br> <br> <br>They are survived by their children Elisabeth (John), Ernest (Heather), Felicia (Marc}; their grandchildren Matthew (Angela), Katherine (Carlo); Elisabeth (Jordan); Nicholas; Michael; Aaron; Felicity (Ben); Marcus; and their great grandchildren Jace, Nolan, Amstel, Arjen, Georgia, and Boone. They also leave behind their extended families in Austria and Switzerland, and several European friends in Canada and lifelong friends the Brunke family. <br> <br> <br>Our sincere thanks go out to all the care givers, nurses, and staff at the Sunrise Residence for their kind care of our dad for over nine years. Additional thanks to the Bayshore caregivers, and everyone who showed him kindness. <br> <br> <br>Our father loved his family, enjoyed music, dance, hugs, kisses, and holding Mama’s hand. He was a man of vision who took pride in his work, but also in his family. He was truly loved and will be forever remembered. <br> <br> <br>The visitation is on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, between 3-5pm and 6-8pm at the Rideau Funeral Home at: 4275 Sources Blvd. D.D.O., Qc H9B 2A6 <br> <br> <br>Please note that the Funeral service is closed.
