With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Evangelia "Angela" Rethmetakis, who departed this life on April 24, 2025, at the age of 84.
Angela is now reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Helen and John Rethmetakis; her cherished husband, John Anthony Temple; her siblings, Sophia, Terri, and George; and her dear niece, Victoria.
She leaves behind her loving sister, Marika Rosler, and will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Johnny, Joanne (Dino), Dean (Claudia), Darryl, and Saundra. Angela will also be fondly remembered by her many grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and great-grand-nieces, as well as her wide circle of friends.
Angie was a vibrant spirit whose boundless energy and zest for life lit up every room. Her presence was as radiant and healing as the sunshine — bright, warm, and full of grace. She touched many lives with her joy and compassion, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
God’s garden had an empty place — He filled it with her smiling face. Though no longer with us in body, she is never far from our thoughts. We love you, we miss you, and we always will.
Angie was a colourful soul who brought light and joy wherever she went. In her honour, we kindly ask that you wear colourful attire in celebrating her vibrant life.
A time to share memories and offer condolences will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Boulevard des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, beginning at 11:30 a.m., followed by a service at 1:30 p.m. reception to follow
In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela’s memory to the Alzheimer Society are appreciated, in support of continued research and care.
