<div itemprop="description">Mr. Farouk Fanous passed away peacefully on Saturday March 18, 2023, in Montreal Canada surrounded by his loved ones. <br> <br>Farouk will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Beloved husband of the late Samia Fanous, loving father of Nelly Fanous (Shahir Guindi), Sylvia Fanous (John Ghabrous), George Fanous (Evangelia Tsotsis) and cherished grandfather of Christian, Immanuel, Gabriel, Evangel, Marcorius, Angelie, Anastasia and Emanuella. He is survived by his brother Fouad Fanous (Georgette) and his sister Yvonne Boghdadi and is welcomed into heaven by his wife, his parents and eight brothers. <br> <br>Farouk was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1937. After marrying his wife of 45 years, they immigrated to Canada in 1975 to raise their family. He held a position with the National Bank in Montreal before moving on to the Hotel industry at Ritz Carlton Montreal for over twenty years. He worked in sales for Amira Enterprises for fifteen years and while retired he enjoyed operating Second Cup Cafes in the West Island with his son George for many years. <br> <br>A faithful member of St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Montreal, he was ordained deacon there in 1985 and served in many capacities and as a board member for some years. Farouk was a kind, loving, generous and charismatic man with the biggest heart. A great role model for his children and grandchildren; he leaves behind a legacy of love and goodness that will live on. <br> <br>The family will receive condolences on Monday March 20th 2023 from 7pm to 9pm.
