With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Fatmé Mahboub (née Hachache), known to her loved ones as Teta Fifi, on July 18, 2026.
Born in Lebanon on February 5, 1933, Fatmé was the beloved daughter of the late Mustafa and Khadija Hachache. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was the heart of her family, remembered for her unwavering love, strength, generosity, and kindness. She dedicated her life to those she loved, always putting others before herself and filling her home with warmth, compassion, and cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Mahmoud Mahboub.
She was also predeceased by her brothers, Musbah, Rafik, Khaled, and Souheil (Khalo Sousou).
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Joumana(Bassam), Zeina(René), Ahmad(Joyce), and Rima(Wasim).
She will forever be cherished by her grandchildren, Bilal, Sandy(Justin), Sabine(John), Firas(Alessi), Serine(Adam), Samer(Carolina), Razzen, Briana, and Jackie; as well as her great-grandchildren, Samara, Nazli, Cayde, Sasha, Liliana, and Elvira. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Nadra(Khaled), Fariha(Sameeh), and Siham(Issam).
Condolences will be received on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
Her love, kindness, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is deeply loved, remembered, and missed by the Mahboub, Hachache, Ramlawi, Saab, Albert, Quzor, Beshara, Mukaddem, and Hwalla families.
