Felipe passed away surrounded by family on December 23, 2016. His love lives on in the hearts of his best friend and wife Concepcion, his children and grandchildren; Carolyn; Jason; Jenny (Richard) their children Logan and Matt; and extended family.
Eighty-one years ago Felipe was born in Manila, Philippines. He was the fifth of eight siblings. At an early age his love for the arts was eminent and his ability apparent. As he grew he received awards for designs which lead him to graduate as an Architect from the University of Santo Tomas, the oldest and most prestigious University in the Philippines.
In was the winter of 1965 Felipe traveled to Canada to pursue his career as an architect. He worked on some historic Montreal landmarks such as the expansion of Dorval Airport, Molson Brewery and a number of Hospitals. His passion for the arts never died, as a hobby he often enjoyed painting landscapes.
It was 1967 that he met the love of his life, Concepcion (Connie) Cervantes. They were married on May 9, 1970 they then went on to raise three beautiful children. The couples devotion to their catholic faith is present even today. As Felipe was an associate of the Holy Names of Jesus & Mary for many many years.
Felipe is an irreplaceable husband, father, grandfather, caring brother, unforgettable uncle, and an incredibly loyal friend. He will be greatly missed, yet never forgotten by each person who was graced by his presence.
