<div itemprop="description">Florence “Flo” Edith Adamthwaite, born December 23rd, 1923 in Montreal, Quebec to Mark Adamthwaite and Florence Ward, passed away peacefully at Centre d’Accueil Alfred-DesRochers on January 9th, 2021 at the age of 97 years young. <br>Flo was passionate about life; her life was a living example of how she truly lived life to the fullest. A real firecracker and knew how to have a good time, she was and a true friend to many. Flo was a special person, and you knew without seeing her she was present by the sound of her infectious laugh. When you heard her laugh you could not help but laugh right along with her, even if you did not know what she was laughing about. <br>She was a social butterfly and was fortunate to be able travel with her loving friends and her love, Lou, they had many vacation’s with loving family & friends and there was never a dull moment if “Flossie” were around, she could party with the best of them. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandmother. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. <br>Her favorite holiday was Christmas, where she decorated her house with so many decorations, there was barely room to sit. <br>After she married, she was blessed with two sons’ Derek and Kurt. No words can describe the love she had for her children, they were her world, and she was immensely proud of them as she would often brag about her children. <br>Around 1981’s Flo met with her one true love, Lou, they loved to entertain and enjoyed dancing together and being with each other. As the saying goes, she met her “soul mate” who stood by her side for almost 40 years. Having met Lou, she welcomed his son Philip as one of her own children to whom she loved dearly. <br>She kicked breast cancer, a hip replacement & even COVID-19, she was a fighter and fought a good fight to survive. <br>Flo was predeceased by her grandson Brandon, she is survived by her loving husband Ludwig “Lou” Herbert, son’s Derek & Kurt Morisson, Philip Herbert (Keri), grandchildren Jordan, Amanda, Gwen, Philip Jr, great grandchildren Makai & Malik, sister in law’s Johanna (Frank Daliesio), Mary (Tim Higgins), brother-in-law Quinn Herbert (Lorraine), nieces & nephews as well as many loving friends. <br>There will be a private funeral held on Monday, January 25th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Rideau Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home 4275 boul Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc. <br>In lieu of flowers, donations made me made to the Montreal Heart Institute, 5000, Bélanger street, Montreal, Quebec, Canada <br></div>
