Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18th, 2018 at the West Island Palliative Care Residence in her 81st year.

She was predeceased by her parents David and Irene(Hutt) Laurin.
Loving wife and partner for 55 years to the late Duncan, amazing mom to Barry (Sandy Danylchuk), Shelley(Kirk Mullin) and Shona (Nick Edouard) and fun-loving grandma (GINGI) to Brett, Torrey, Jay, Ezzie and Milo.

She was also an adored sister to siblings, Louise (Ron Hodgeman), late Evelyn (Jerry Izzard), Clare Mae (Bill Cribb), late Jack (Dixie Laurin), late Wayne (Carol Laurin), Vivian (Maurice Denis), Diane (Art Gauley), Helen (Alvin Jasper) and Sandra (Alain Campeau).

To know Frannie was to love her. Always able to find humour in any situation. She was the first person you would want to call when you needed a lift (opinions were free!). She loved her family and friends fiercely. She could (and often would) strike up a conversation with anyone around her, no one was a stranger for very long, she wouldn't allow it. Her generosity was limitless, her house was always full of people and music.

She was the best mom and most wonderful friend, full of life, laughter and mischief.
In honour of Frannie, always laugh at yourself, talk to strangers, turn up the volume and paint your toes!

"Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. The hummingbirds delicate grace reminds us that life is rich , beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation"

There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members at the Lachute Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the West Island Palliative Care Residence in her memory.
