<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francesco Marchei on January 11, 2025 at the age of 99.<br> <br>Beloved husband of Marianna for over 71 years, cherished father of Silvio (Sue Maiorino) and Patrizia (Joe Riccio) and adoring grand-father to Christopher, Megan (Brandon), Alessa (Marco) and Massimo. He will be missed by family and friends in Montreal and abroad.<br> <br>Francesco was an avid bowler and a skilled carpenter who never hesitated to help family and friends with their projects. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, and to many as Frankie.<br> <br>Visitation will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Boul. Des Sources, Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, H9B 2A6, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 4 to 8 pm.<br> <br>A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 22 at 10 am at Missione Dell’Annunziata Church, 4360 Rue Broadway, Lachine, H8T 1V2 followed by interment at Rideau Memorial Cemetery. <br> <br>The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff at the Lachine Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.<br> <br>In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Montreal Heart Institute or the Lachine Hospital Foundation.<br></div>
