“Goodbye my friends”
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Lafferty, who left us on 2 December, 2024, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born on 16 October, 1941, in Belleville, Ontario, Gary was a beloved brother, uncle, husband and friend. He leaves behind his loving sister, Cheryl Lafferty (Jacques Comtois), Montreal, QC., his cherished extended family and his many devoted friends and colleagues, who remember his generous spirit and love of fun.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Chateau Dollard Residence and Vigi Sante nursing home, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC., for their excellent care.
Following Gary’s wishes there will be no funeral service.
A private blessing will be performed at Elmwood Cemetery, Corbyville, ON in the spring of 2025.
Donations in memory may be made to the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward.
