<div itemprop="description">It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of George Balouzakis, on Friday, May 30th. He is survived by his beloved wife Roula, to whom he was married to for 49 loving years. <br> He will be remembered by his children, John (Vangie) and George Jr. (Voula), and by his grandchildren, Argyro, Dimitra, Dimitri, Vassiliki Victoria, and George. <br> <br>He is also survived by his brother, Antoni (Arianthi), his sister, Aristea (feu Dimitri); and his sister-in-law, Helen (George). In addition, George is mourned by a large circle of nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends, all of whom felt his warmth, generosity, and kindness. <br> <br>Born in Chania, Crete, George possessed a remarkable range of talents and passions. Always with an entrepreneurial spirit to serve and create value where very few can, he owned an auto shop as his first business and later channeled his artistic expression as a talented jeweler. George’s life was defined by his unwavering patience, gentle humor, and a generosity of spirit that touched everyone he met. Together with Roula, they created a life filled with cherished memories and a path for which their children and grandchildren aspire to follow. <br> <br>The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, June 3rd from 4:00PM to 9:00PM, at Rideau Funeral Home, 4239 Sources Blvd., D.D.O. . <br> <br>His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 4th at 11:00AM, at St-Michael and Gabriel Archangels Greek Orthodox Church, 11801 Elie-Blanchard Avenue, Montreal (Saint-Laurent). <br></div>
