<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of George (Jerzy) Dziarmaga on Saturday, July 20th, surrounded by his loving family. <br> <br>Born in Poland, George immigrated to Canada in 1965, where he lived a full and happy life. He was very proud of his Polish heritage and extremely grateful to be Canadian. <br> <br>Cherished husband of Ramona for 47 years, beloved father of Alison (Alessandro), Vanessa (Nick) and adoring Dziadziu of Quinton, Matteo, Miles and Daniela. Son of the late Janina and Josef Ogloza, brother to Eddie (Joan) and Marian (Jack), and nephew to Zdzislaw (Maria). <br> <br>George was a simple, big-hearted man, who put his family first and always made people smile. He was a great story teller, legendary dancer and joker. He loved soccer and played for many years on Air Canada’s soccer team, traveling the world. George was an avid outdoors man who loved fishing and mushroom picking. <br> <br>He will be dearly missed by many family and friends in Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary and Poland. <br> <br>George was a warrior, courageously battling cancer for the last 7 years. He always remained positive and optimistic. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Jewish General Hospital and the West Island Palliative Care Residence for their exceptional care. <br> <br>Visitations on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 6:00pm 9:00pm (Rosary at 7:30) at the Rideau Funeral Home. 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec H9B 2A6. Rosary at 7:30 Mass of Christian burial at the Church of Resurrection (Polska Misja) 34,34e Avenue, Lachine, QC H8T 1Z2 on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 10:00am. Interment at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Island Palliative Care Residence. <br></div>
