Georgios Karabinis 1921 - 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Georgios Karabinis, on April 17th, 2020, at the age of 99. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Finikounda, Greece, where he was proud to be the oldest resident and continued to visit year after year.
He and his loving wife of more than 65 years, late Panagiotas Pavlogiannis (Karabinis) then moved to North America to continue to raise their beautiful family. Georgios and Panagiotas adored their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Georgios Karabinis was loved all over the world by everyone he has met over the years.
Loving father of Nikolaos (Nicoletta), Panagiotis (Stavroula), Demetrios, Efrosini (Ilias), Eleni (Spiros), Evagelia (Gregoris). Cherished grandfather of Georgios and Panagiota, Panagiota (Patrick) and Georgios (Haroula), Panagiota (Ioannis), Helen (Nikolaos), Georgia, and Niki (Alexander), John (Vicky), Angelo, George (Constadina), and Mavreta, Xaralambos-Nicholaos (Renata) and Tatiana. Beloved great grandfather of Nikolaos, Zoe, Michael, Gabriel, Eleni, Katerina, Alexandra, Stavroula, Panagiotis, Fotios, Demetrios, Christina, Kanella, Spiros, Irini, Constadina, Ilias, Petros, Evangelia, Demostenes, Evangelos, Yiannis, Lena.
He will also be greatly missed by his siblings, Stavroula (late Demetrios), Maria (late Rev. Tsompanas), Anna (late Vassilis), Panagiotis (Maria), Stamatis (Gloria), nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends.
Due to the recent global state, visitation and the funeral service will be limited to the children and grandchildren only. A church service and reception will be held at a later date, to be determined.
