He grew up surrounded by family and maintained strong bonds with those he loved throughout his life. <br> <br>Gilbert will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Cristina Zapanta, and his cherished daughter, Gillian Chris Javier, and son-in-law Ghislain Poupeney. He also leaves behind his dear siblings: Imelda, Lita, Cenon, Violetta, Juanita, and Joseph, along with extended family members, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. <br> <br>Gilbert was known for his kind heart, generosity, and remarkable sense of humour. He had a natural ability to make people smile and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether assisting friends and family with home renovations or offering support whenever it was needed, Gilbert found joy in helping others. <br>An active and energetic person, he enjoyed playing tennis, pickleball, and spending countless hours cycling. His passion for staying active was matched only by his love for spending time with family and friends. His warmth, kindness, and willingness to help others will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. <br> <br>Gilbert's legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and laughter.
