<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Giovanna Catinari (nee Casanova), who peacefully left us on February 27, 2025, at the age of 89. <br> <br>She is now reunited with her cherished husband, Gino. Giovanna was surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren during her final moments, their unwavering support and testament to the deep bond they shared. <br> <br>Giovanna dedicated her life to her family and will be fondly remembered by her daughters, Maria (Aldo) and Liliana (Luciano); her grandchildren, Melanie (Clark), Monica (Erik), Gino (Valerie), Jena, Massimo; and her great-granddaughter, Camilla. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Maria, Nadia, and Lucia; her brother, Antonio; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends. Giovanna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gino, her parents, and several siblings. <br> <br>Beyond her role as a devoted mother and grandmother, Giovanna cultivated lasting friendships that spanned both time and distance. While she may no longer walk among us, her love continues to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and generosity will forever remain in our hearts. <br> <br>May she rest in peace, embraced by the love of her family, her faith, and the precious memories she leaves behind. <br> <br>The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, on Tuesday March 4th 2025 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday March 5th as of 9 am followed by a service at 10:30 am. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, a donation made to ''Little Brothers'' would be greatly aprreciated.
